Tableau Server is a business intelligence application that provides browser-based analytics anyone can use. You can connect to data in a few clicks, then visualize and create interactive dashboards with a few more. To schedule flows to run on Tableau Online, you must be using Tableau Online version 2019.3 or later and Tableau Prep Conductor must be enabled.Tableau Desktop is based on breakthrough technology from Stanford University that lets you drag & drop to analyze data. Tableau Prep Conductor was introduced as part of Data Management in Tableau Online version 2019.3. A dialog opens that tells you which version of Tableau Online you are using. In the top menu bar click the information icon in the top right corner and select About Tableau Online. To find your version of Tableau Online, open Tableau Online in your web browser. Tableau sometimes introduces new connector support with a maintenance release. There are no compatibility issues with maintenance (or dot) release versions-for example, between Tableau Desktop version 2021.2.1 and Tableau Desktop 2021.2.3 or Tableau Desktop 2020.3.2 and Tableau Server version 2020.3.7.
